Habbat Barakah began the way most good things do — a little at a time, in a home kitchen, with a sourdough starter that needed daily attention and a family willing to taste every single loaf along the way.
"Habbat Barakah" means a blessed grain — a small seed that carries something greater than its size. That's the idea behind every bake: simple ingredients, unhurried time, and care in every step, from feeding the starter to the moment a warm loaf reaches your table.
